Sand Hotel In England

Evidently the world’s first ever hotel made of sand has been launched in Dorset, England, at a rate of £10 a night.

The structure was created by a hotel company to celebrate the resurgence of sea-side holidaymakers flocking to the ocean in Britain. It took 1000 tons of sand to build by a team of four professional sculptors who worked 14 hours a day for 7 days. It stands on Weymouth Beach.

“The beds are made of sand, so it can get everywhere, especially between the toes,” said Mark Anderson, one of the hotel’s sand sculptors.

The sand hotel was originally thought up by a local travel website after they discovered that 56% of English tourists prefer foreign beach destinations over British beaches. (Somehow, they figured this might win back some loyalty? lol)

Among other notices, guests have been advised there are no toilet facilities available at the hotel.
